Volunteer Veterinarian – vacancy

We have long and short term positions available for qualified veterinarians.

One of our priorities at the moment is to vasectomise some of our non-releasable males to enable us to take in more orphaned vervets. Due to funding difficulties, we are unable to keep expanding and need to control breeding to make room for new arrivals whose parents have been shot by humans. We look after over 400 vervet monkeys and are currently one of the largest primate centres.

This position is voluntary which means we do not pay for flights but we do pay for cabin accommodation, vegetarian meals, laundry and collection from Tzaneen. We can provide a small stipend depending on length of stay. We are non-government funded and rely on donations and volunteers.
